Military Tracking and Defence Tracking Systems

Personal GPS Tracking

A Personal Tracking Device is a GPS tracking unit that uses the Global Positioning System to determine the exact location of a person, vehicle, plane, boat or asset to which it is connected or attached to. Typically a Personal Tracking Device will record its location at set regular intervals. This information is often sent back to a central location or command centre so that a computer can log and monitor the location of the device.

GPS Location Mapping

With the location data stored on a central computer it is possible to overlay the data with a map which gives us the real time location of the device. It is also possible to plot recent activity on the map overlay so people can see where the device has travelled over a specified time scale.

Examples of Personal GPS Tracking Devices

There are many Personal Tracking Devices on the market, some for consumers and others for specific markets such as the military. Military Tracking requires reliable, robust hardware so it is important to ensure that the equipment is manufactured and purchased for a trusted source.
